John has represented creditors in Chapter 11 small business restaurant bankruptcies and provided defense work to a major hotel chain on workplace injury cases. John also provides consulting services, formed companies for business owners, defended businesses and individuals in foreclosures, prepared lease agreements for businesses and individuals, and prosecuted and defended lease agreements. Additionally, John has prosecuted oppressed shareholder actions and has represented parties in business dissolutions, buy-outs and other corporate matters.
John’s first career was in the hotel industry with Hyatt Hotels and was nominated for the prestigious Donald Pritzker General Manager of the Year award in 1988. In spite of his success, John’s first love was law, so at 36 years of age, John left Hyatt and embarked on the study of law.
